Cap 1/2" Nyglass (Glass Reinforced Nylon) BSP Threads
Our poly cap range has a female BSP thread. A cap is normally used to blank off a riser, make a temporary closure on steel and brass pipe or as a manual flushing point closure. Manufactured from glass reinforced nylon with a true tapered BSP thread, all of our "Poly" BSP fittings up to 50mm are rated to 1,600 kPa. Suitable for high-pressure applications in commercial, irrigation and domestic use.

Pink Teflon Plumbers Tape for thread sealing without leaks
Our pink teflon plumbers tape is manufactured by Fedseal and is definitely a far superior product to all of those very thin white tapes. "Teflon 002" is manufactured to a very high standard and so it is of uniform size and thickness over the complete roll. With a thickness of 0.1mm it is up to 3 times thicker than some cheaper white versions on the market. "Teflon 002" should be used on all Nyglass, stainless steel, brass, cast iron, aluminium, gunmetal, ductile iron, pvc and most other BSP style threads. "Teflon 002" on our Hansen range of Nyglass fittings generally only requires 4 or 5 turns of "Teflon 002" to provide a leakproof seal. Rolls of "Teflon 002" are 12mm wide x 0.1mm thick x 10m long and all of the tape can be used.
